Boston, MA – Sept 15, 2025Asian Women for Health (AWFH), a leading nonprofit dedicated to advancing health equity for pan-Asian communities, is proud to announce the appointment of six new members to its Board of Directors. This marks a significant milestone in the organization’s growth and commitment to building a diverse, visionary leadership team.

Joining the Board are:

The expansion reflects AWFH’s dedication to strengthening its governance and capacity as the organization continues to scale its impact across three pillars of work: workforce development, community health education, and community-engaged research.

Nguyen, Executive Director of AWFH. “Each brings a wealth of expertise, passion, and lived experience that will help guide AWFH into its next chapter as we continue to champion culturally responsive care and amplify community voices.”

Board Co-Chair, Ingrid Chiemi Schroffner said “I’m so excited for the future with the addition of these six amazing folks from different backgrounds that can help add to AWFH’s reach in so many overlapping health sectors that serve our communities here in Massachusetts.”

Board Co-Chair, Adam Thomas, added: “Adding six board members at once is a rare and exciting moment in AWFH’s history. Their diverse perspectives and skills will be instrumental in advancing our mission and building a healthier, more equitable future for all.”

The six new members join a dedicated Board that plays a pivotal role in advancing AWFH’s mission to improve health outcomes, reduce disparities, and ensure that Asian women and underserved communities are represented in leadership and decision-making.
