Mary Joan Castillo-Dreyfuss, Ph.D.

Mary Joan Castillo-Dreyfuss is a scientist and community volunteer passionate about advancing health equity and uplifting women in science and leadership. Originally from the Philippines, she brings over 12 years of experience in drug development and clinical research in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, with expertise spanning rare diseases, hematology, and immunodeficiency programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines.
She is currently Clinical Specialized Bioassay Vendor Manager at Advanced Clinical, where she supports global clinical trial bioanalytical and biomarker strategies across therapeutic areas. Previously, she held scientific and leadership roles at Takeda and Synlogic Therapeutics. Mary brings to Asian Women for Health her passion for research advancing health equity, empowering women in science and leadership, and fostering culturally responsive community engagement.
