About AWFH
Our Mission
Asian Women for Health (AWFH) is a community-based organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities across Massachusetts and beyond.
We are committed to advancing health equity, racial justice, and community support for AANHPI populations across generations and socioeconomic backgrounds. By offering linguistically and culturally responsive health education, workforce development opportunities, and community-driven research, we empower underrepresented individuals to be leaders and advocates in the fight against health inequities.

Our Programs & Impact
At the heart of our work is the Community Health Impact (CHI) Program, which recruits, trains, and places Community Health Workers (CHWs) in historically marginalized and underserved communities. These trusted connectors help:
- Support patients navigating complex healthcare systems
 - Deliver health literacy workshops tailored to cultural needs
 - Address language, cultural, and systemic barriers to care

Our Broader Impact
AWFH leads and collaborates on initiatives that drive systemic change and ensure Asian voices are included in public health solutions, including:
- Advocacy for equity-focused legislation, such as the Data Equity and Language Access bills
 - Serving as the East Coast AAPI lead for the All of Us Research Program, a groundbreaking National Institutes of Health initiative advancing precision medicine through diverse data collection

By addressing culturally and linguistically relevant health topics, we raise awareness, build trust, and strengthen the health of AANHPI communities.
Looking Ahead
Today, AWFH continues to expand its impact through culturally tailored education, advocacy, and community-based workforce development.
We achieve our vision through:
- Connecting and empowering women to advocate for their own health and that of their families
 - Reducing language and cultural barriers to improve care access
 - Ensuring Asian voices are represented in healthcare research and policy
 - Fostering partnerships that amplify community-driven solutions

Through programs like Community Health Impact and national collaborations like All of Us, AWFH is paving the way for a healthier, more equitable future for AANHPI communities – and for all.
